James began his career as a British Army Officer, gaining invaluable hands-on leadership experience. He later moved into the global insurance industry, working as a management consultant and in business development for the Willis Group, with a secondment with McKinsey & Co., and then as a partner in a Family Office and director of various Fund Management and Private Equity businesses, overseeing their growth strategies.

Having seen the transformative power of coaching, James founded Pelham Street in 2012. He now advises and coaches senior leaders and their teams, using his challenging and engaging style to provide a sounding board. His primary focus is on developing individual and collective performance.

James is the CEO of Pelham Street.
